Stoves- Fireplaces- Inserts, Whats the Difference?
Mainline Home Energy Services offers home heating stoves that are free-standing appliances fueled by wood, pellets or gas. They can be made of cast iron or soapstone with a closed fire chamber lined by fire bricks and equipped with adjustable air controls. Stoves can be vented through stove pipes, to a suitable chimney or flue.
The fireplaces sold by Mainline Home Energy Services consist of a factory-built metal box with refractory bricks inside. They can be framed into a house without requiring a masonry chimney. We offer wood, pellet or gas fueled fireplaces that are safe, economical and attractive. Our fireplace options are flexible in where they can be located within the home.
A fireplace insert is essentially a stove, gas, wood or pellet product that is inserted into an open fireplace. Mainline Home Energy Services’s fireplace inserts are typically installed into masonry fireplaces, although some models are compatible with prefabricated fireplaces.
